Pearl Care Centre is a leading institution offering holistic care and education for children, providing comprehensive support and nurturing in a safe environment.
We are a charitable organization and registered with the Registrar of Societies on 7th February 2005 as a charity under the Charities Act. It is a not for profit organization and it provides student care services as a social and community service. Our student care centre is located in Blk 162 Punggol Central, Singapore and has been operating since year 2005. It has a student enrolment capacity of up to 110 students.
Mission and Purpose of Centre
Our main vision is to serve the community by supporting families to stay cohesive whilst listening to the children’s heartbeat. In this home-like environment, which is safe and secured, the children learn to play, rest and work together. Under the guidance of dedicated teachers and staff, the children thrive and develop. The skills and values taught to them during their time at our student care centre will develop, take roots and flourish as they grow to youths and young adults.
Our Objectives are focused on the family and on the child, and some of these are:
The Family
- Listen to the child’s needs
- Teach family discipline (rules of conduct)
- Practice compassion, kindness, mercy, justice, faithfulness, gratitude and love
- Teach stewardship to the child and love for the nation of Singapore
- Remember their role as godly parents and to set the right moral and ethical values
- Appreciate the value of family relationships
- Balance the need for material and relationship needs and well-being.
On the Child
- To provide the child with a safe, secure and conducive place at a time when the family is going through a crisis or a conflict which might endanger the child physically or mentally
- To provide for the full and total development of the child’s mental health, moral, intellectual, and physical growth, behavioural aptitude and social skills
- To help the child and his family members to integrate to become a full and wholesome family
- To impart Godly, correct moral and ethical values in their lives
- To provide an environment conducive for the child’s development in order to fully integrate the child into the community
- To provide temporary financial assistance for the child while his parents resolve their crisis or conflict, or financial difficulties
- To teach the child practical survival skills such as, personal hygiene, household management skills, budgeting and others
